Ways To Participate
PROJECT PURPOSE paves the pathway to future employment for Colquitt County students. Along the way, it’s important for educators to also be aware of the opportunities in our county, region, and state for employment in industry. Our goal is provide teachers and administrators in middle and high school environments, especially those in core content areas, the necessary knowledge to guide students into the workforce right out of high school.
There are 3 key ways for educators to engage with PROJECT PURPOSE:
- Participate in an upcoming cohort of Educator Immersion Tours
- Encourage your students to attend PROJECT PURPOSE events
- Host industry leaders as guest speakers in your classroom

Educator Immersion Tour | Regional
A cohort of Colquitt County educators participate in a 3-part tour of local, regional and statewide manufacturing, food processing, and industrial sites for a hands-on immersion into the world of business and industry. Teachers will leave with creative ideas for future instruction and connections to potential employers for their students.
The Regional Tour focuses on a county that is close in proximity and its economic base.

Educator Immersion Tour | State
The State Tour focuses on industries currently in high-demand in Georgia which have unique high-wage positions and/or are partners in Georgia QuickStart or other economic organizations in the state.

The Local Tour focuses on Colquitt County businesses, industries, and educational partners such as Southern Regional Technical College and PCOM.
